The Houston Memorial Day Cup The Houston Memorial Day Cup is Houston’s largest youth soccer tournament held over 2 days of the Memorial holiday weekend. This event attracts all levels of competition from across Texas, neighboring states and Countries. With over 340 teams applying each year, the MDC has exposure to over 50,000 people from teams, parents, families and friends to vendors, volunteers, businesses and other organizations throughout Houston Metro area and beyond. The Spring Cup This is an event that takes place each year over the course of a 2 day period in early February that is broken down into 3 different events; Spring Cup – 5v5, Spring Cup – Warm up and Spring Cup College Showcase. This event allows us to reach out to all aspects of the Youth soccer community from local, recreational leagues to national and Collegiate levels, giving us the chance to communicate and give exposure across the US. 5v5 Spring Spectacular This event is new to 2015 and will take place in late May. It will attract the youth soccer players of tomorrow, targeting specifically the under 8, 9 and 10 markets With over 60 teams taking part in the 1st annual 5v5 event at the Spring Cup, we project this event will be over 100 teams within 18 months. About AHFC – Leading the way Albion Hurricanes FC (AHFC) is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization formed in 1989. The club is a nationally recognized competitive youth soccer program in metropolitan Houston serving over 4,500 boys and girls ages 5 through 18. AHFC continually seeks out the highest level of competition and exposure throughout the country for its players and teams. Both boys and girls teams perform at the top tournaments and showcases, involved in the Olympic Development Program (ODP), and participate at the highest youth competitive levels at the national, regional, and state associations. Many of these players have competed against foreign competition throughout the years from Russia, Estonia, Holland, England, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, Norway, El Salvador, and Bolivia. AHFC is committed to developing young men and women into leaders on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. However, many of these bright young men and women who possess talent and dedication to the sport are unable to afford the opportunity to participate and play select soccer.
