Pre-AP Biology Ms. Huntsman Binder Setup Pre-AP Biology Ms. Huntsman

Suggested sections Label the dividers for each section: Bell Work, Notes, Assignments, and Labs Bell Work – All written bell work will go here. Notes – Will include notes we take in class, reference materials (Syllabus, Handouts, etc.) Assignments – Daily assignments/homework will go here Labs – Lab-related materials will go here

Table of Contents On the first page of each section, write Table of Contents at top of page. You should have four Table of Contents pages, one for each section: Bell Work Notes Assignments Labs

Notes Section Place Syllabus in the Notes section of the binder. Starting at Page 1, label every page of the syllabus (front and back) with a page number in the bottom right corner.

Notes Section On the Table of Contents page for the Notes section, write Syllabus on the left and 1 on the right (to represent page 1).

Notes Section Because the syllabus is 3 pages, the next item in the Table of Contents will be on Page 4.

Maintaining the Table of Contents As additional items are added to binder: Number each page at the bottom right (front and back). Write title of item on a new line in the Table of Contents. Write starting page number at the end of the line. Binders should be reviewed at least weekly to ensure that all items are recorded in the Table of Contents. This will help you stay organized, which will benefit you greatly when the time comes to prepare for tests!
