Formal Teaching Rolling programme of (mainly) lecture based sessions 5 full day sessions per academic year (dovetails with G(I)M teaching) Based on Geriatric Medicine Curriculum Delivered at sites around the deanery Consultant / trainee input into specific content Generic Skills courses

Educational Supervision Local educational supervisor Training programme director Year 1 (ST3) Acute / general medicine Years 2&3 (ST4/5) Geriatric med - Acute - Rehab - Subspecialty - Palliative care / psych secondments Years 4&5 (ST6/7) Half time G(I)M / Ger - ITU / CCU secondments

EBM Day April – usually at RCPSG Scotland-wide event for first time this year Trainees present literature review of chosen topic Plan is for April 09 EBM day to involve trainees from all 4 deaneries
