Creating a Flyer

How do I create a flyer? Determine flyer purpose Analyze Audience Where are they employed Educational background Possible questions

How do I create a flyer? Gather Content 4. Determine Content to Use List 3-4 major ideas you want the audience to remember after viewing the project. Begin with the end in mind . . .

How do I create a flyer? Consider how will your flyer be presented? Colored paper? Transparencies? PowerPoint? With a Projector? Poor lighting? Can an image emphasize a concept best?

Plan the order of the information People usually remember the 1st and last pieces of information best Put most important information at the beginning & end/top & bottom

General Flyer Guidelines Text – “less is better” principle. Use as few words as possible. Text Format – Consider size, shape, color, and position on the page.

Appropriate images – Does it need a border? Should be eye-catching Should convey message of flyer Should grab attention Should draw people to read the flyer Does it need a border? Nice border may help draw attention. Be careful not to clutter flyer with background.
