Step 1 Begin with an outline along the edge of your animal Step 1 Begin with an outline along the edge of your animal. Fill in the outline with words:

Step 2 Draw more outlines and fill the whole inside shape with lettering:

Steps to Follow Pick an animal you admire Print and trace the outline of the animal (print out must be large enough to fit several sentences inside the animal shape) Complete the worksheet about the animal. Draw another line following the outer edge line to create a grid where the letters fit. Next draw other lines to create more areas to fit words. (you may use different sizes for variety) (Kind of like puzzle pieces fitting together to fill the inside negative space of the animal outline). Start writing the words in skeletal script inside the ½ border lines you created. You may use any form you wish as long as the words are neatly written. (Samples of skeletal scripts on desk) You may alter the size of the letters any way you wish to create an interesting arrangement of letters inside the outline of the animal. You can even use some capitals and block lettering if you wish. As long as lettering is neat. The goal is to fill the whole inside of the animal outline with lettering. When you love what you have done, you may transfer the letters to a colored square piece of paper. Retrace the transfer with ink and calligraphy pen. Next create a border outline using lines and shapes around the edge of your artwork. (Look online for ideas) Trace with sharpie colored or metallic markers. Accent key areas with dots of glitter glue if desired
