GHA – Greater Horn of Africa Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania Complex Region Geographic location puts region in a position to experience many climate variables. Vulnerable agriculture Third World Conflict risk Vulnerable b/c of location and lack of development, not a strong region to recover from extremes

Conclusions These variations have HUGE effects. This area is extremely vulnerable. This area is increasingly drying. Increasingly important to predict onset and cessation of Kiremt and Belg rains. Food and water scarcity. Predictions save lives.
