There is a difference between acknowledging something to be true or right and submitting to that truth or right way of living.

Passover…. Donkeys…. Palm branches….

Mt. of Olives

1 When they approached Jerusalem, at Bethphage and Bethany near the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of His disciples 2 and told them, “Go into the village ahead of you. As soon as you enter it, you will find a young donkey tied there, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here.  Mark 11:1-2

If anyone says to you, “Why are you doing this If anyone says to you, “Why are you doing this?” say, “The Lord needs it and will send it back here right away.” Mark 11:3

This took place so that what was spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled. Matthew 21:4

500 BC: rides into Jerusalem on a donkey (Zechariah 9:9) 980 BC: hands/feet pierced (Ps. 22:6) 750 BC: born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2) 700 BC: born to a virgin (Isaiah 7:14) 700 BC: beaten, spat on (Isaiah 50:6) 500 BC: betrayed for 30 pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12-13) 500 BC: rides into Jerusalem on a donkey (Zechariah 9:9)

Say to Daughter of Zion: Look, your salvation is coming….  Isaiah 62:11 Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout in triumph, Daughter Jerusalem! Look, your King is coming to you; He is righteous and victorious, humble and riding on a donkey….   Zechariah 9:9

Hosanna. In the name of the Lord. King. Peace, glory. Matthew 21:9, Mark 11:9-10, Luke 19:38, John 12:13

39 Some of the Pharisees from the crowd told Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.” 40 And Jesus answered, “I tell you, if they were to keep silent, the stones would cry out!”   Luke 19:39-40

Do we acknowledge…? JESUS AS SAVIOR AND KING Or do we also submit…?

Do we only acknowledge…? “truth” Or do we also submit…?

Ask God and someone else to help you submit to that truth. Do we only acknowledge…? “truth” Or do we also submit…? Choose an area of your life where you ACKNOWLEDGE truth but don’t SUBMIT to it. Ask God and someone else to help you submit to that truth.
