Westmeath Arts Grants Community & Voluntary Groups 2018 Arts-in-Community (must apply in partnership with artist, funding is provided to artist) Arts Act Grants Creative Ireland

Grant strands x 3 Arts-in-Community: The Arts-in-Community scheme provides project funding to encourage meaningful collaboration between artists and groups/organisations such as schools and healthcare & community centres, for arts projects including residencies. Between €200 and €800 is available for each project. Funding issued by Westmeath County Council will go directly to pay the artist’s fees and the group must demonstrate that they will supply and materials required for the project. Arts Act Grants: These are grants for amateur, community or voluntary individual, groups or organisations engaging in the arts of amounts between €200 and €400. This activity will stimulate public interest in the arts, promote the knowledge, appreciation and practice of the arts or assist in improving the standards of the arts. Arts are defined as painting, sculpture, architecture, music, film, drama, dance, literature, design in industry and the fine arts and applied arts generally. Creative Ireland: This is a new (2nd year) grant scheme to provide support to local and community, artistic and creative activities and projects which encourage cultural participation throughout Westmeath. This fund is open to not-for-profit organizations, local community groups, arts, heritage and cultural groups, venues and societies. The nominal amount of funding to any one project will typically be between €500 and €2,500 and applications received will be assessed based on an agreed selection criteria.
