Welcome to Back to School Night Ms. Collicutt Algebra 2 with Trig This presentation will be available on my webpage at miracostahigh.org.

We need TISSUES! Please  Donations: We need TISSUES! Please 

UCLA Diagnostic Test: a tool to help students understand their preparedness for this course. It is a piece of data to be used in conjunction with previous grades, teacher recommendations and current work and grades in the class.

Success: Preview the lesson Read the lesson the night before to get familiar with the vocabulary and the type of problems that will be assigned.

Homework=practice! Homework and assignment will be used as synonyms. An assignment is meant to be used as an extension of the lesson to give students the opportunity to apply new concepts. The assignment will be checked for completeness, it is the student’s responsibility to check answers and if time permits ask questions.

After the lesson: Explain the concept to someone… anyone! Redo the problems from the notes. Brainstorm anything the student remembers from class (either written or verbally).

How to study for math: Practice problems from: Homework Notes Classzone.com Create your own test (and solution key) and exchange with a classmate. Explain the concept to someone…anyone!

Day of test: Come prepared! With calculator and batteries Pencil and eraser Highlighter Read ALL directions before starting test. Do the problems you know first. Be mindful of the time.
