Winter Challenge 2017 Activity 1 Take part in a Winter activity at a Children’s University Learning Destination and write a 50 word review. Don’t forget to check out our FREE App to help you find places to visit Activity 2 Christmas/Winter crafts- Make a Winter collage or a Christmas decoration using recycled cardboard, plastic boxes, leftover wrapping paper and ribbon Activity 3 Be a journalist and write a 50 word blog or article about some of the learning destinations that are available in your area. This could be published in our next Newsletter. Activity 4 Find a recipe and make your own Christmas cookies or cupcakes. Take a picture before you eat them all! Write down the recipe and ingredients Activity 5 Head outside to complete one of our downloadable activities such as RSPB Wild Challenge or Forestry Commission www.tinyurl.com/RSPBCU2016 www.forestry.gov.uk/ Activity 6 Take part in a mini Winter Reading Challenge Visit your local library and read a book. Write a 50 word review for the book and get a credit! The more books/reviews you complete, the more credits you can get! Activity 7 Take part in The Christmas Waste Challenge through Southport Eco Centre. Complete the activity sheet as evidence http://www.southportecocentre.com/xmaswastechallenge Collect extra Children’s University credits during the Christmas break by completing this challenge. Each activity is worth 1 credit, when you send evidence of your activity to local Children’s University. This could be a photograph, video, a work sheet, or writing about what you did!
