Fig. 3 Immunoblotting to ascertain presence of IgG anti-FcϵRIα. Soluble recombinant FCϵRIα was subjected to sodium dodecylsulfate–polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis and blotted onto nitrocellulose. Membranes were reacted with monoclonal antibody or whole sera from patients with chronic urticaria or normal control subjects. Antibody binding was detected with alkaline phosphatase–conjugated goat anti-mouse IgG antibody or goat anti-human IgG fragment–specific antibody, respectively.
