Warm Up: The Enlightenment Era What were three discoveries of the Scientific Revolution? (Check your chart) Define: “Truth” The Truth is . . .

Humans are naturally selfish. Agree or Disagree I will read a series of statements. You will quickly decide if you AGREE or DISAGREE and move to the appropriate area of the room. (Look at the signs) Humans are naturally selfish.

All of the statements we just talked about contain views that didn’t really exist publicly until the Enlightenment era. Let’s read a little more to find out what the Enlightenment was all about.
