Lesson 5- Elihu’s Lecture Intro to Debate

3 main themes of Job’s friends: 2 main themes of Job’s response: God was punishing Job Job had sinned Job needed to repent He had done nothing wrong God is all- powerful

One more person feels the need to speak…Elihu Read Job. 32:1-5 What do you notice about the writing in this section? What do we learn about Elihu? Read Job. 32:6-12 From what source did Elihu recognize wisdom as coming? What did Elihu intend to do now?

Intro to Debate: In the same groups you have been working in, you will use your research from the past few days to relay the information you have learned. YOU need to split up the speaking roles. Assign one or two people to each of the sections on the schedule. Then, those two will form their argument for their section of the debate.
