Problem Will the distance release affect the bounce distance between bounce 1 and bounce 2?

Hypothesis I predict that the golf ball will bounce farther for bounce 2 then bounce 1.

Controlled Variable Golf ball

Manipulated Variable The release point or distance

Dependent Variable The distance from bounce 1 to bounce 2

Materials Carbon paper , goggles , golf ball , graph paper, lab report , masking tape , meter tape, towels, , 16D nails and PVC piping

Procedures 1. Draw a sketch 2.Get your supplies 3. Put on goggles 4. Put the tube together 5. Angle it 6. Get the golfball 7. Lay down paper towel 8. Lay down the carbon paper 9. Mark the distance 10. Record your reults

Observations I observated that the frist trial was not as farther than the the other trials some times the golfball missed the carbon paper so we had to re-do the trial

Conclusions In conclusions the higher you drop the ball the further it goes. I know this because bounce 1 was 38 cm, bounce 2 was 51 cm , bounce 3 was 75cm , bounce 4 was 88 cm , bounce 5 was 103cm , and bounce 6 was 112cm.

Possible Explanations The angle of the pipe could have effected the distance of the golfball
