SATURN

Basic Facts About Saturn Distance from Sun: 886 million miles Orbital Period: 29.4 years Rotational Period: 10 days Surface temperature: -288 degrees F Gravity: 100 lbs on earth 107 pounds Saturn has at least 62 moons

Saturn's Rings Considered one of the most beautiful planets because of its rings Galileo thought that Saturn had ears but it was discovered that it was rings in 1645 If they were around the earth they would stretch 1/3 of the way to moon The rings are made up of countless chuncks of 99% water- ice sparkling in the sunlight Some ice chunks are like dust while the biggest are the size of a house

Imagine you have a bowl of water that was big enough to fit a planet in it. Saturn is big enough to fit 770 earths in it. If you placed Saturn in it what do you think would happen to it?
