A few ground rules: Don’t use pictures as background Make sure your font is big enough to read Only put bullet points with your topics **Do NOT write out full sentences Make sure your presentation isn’t too long—You should practice your speech and go through your powerpoint so you can time yourself. Your presentation should be no longer than 5-7 mins long.

Please dress up!

Dress up!

This is what I do NOT want to see:

Why dress up, Ms. Peck? Your clothes communicate identity, personality, and image. Attire is the first thing your audience will see during your presentation. They will be more open to your message if you carry yourself with confidence. And you’ll feel more certain of yourself if you’re dressed in appropriate yet comfortable clothing. Keep this rule in mind: dress slightly more formally than you anticipate your audience will dress. Be sure you plan your outfit ahead of time so you are not panicking at the last minute, looking for a clean shirt.  Layers are a good choice, so that you can adjust your clothes to the room temperature. Try your outfit on ahead of time to be sure it fits well and allows you to move comfortably.
