Observe: How this is done through MODELING. Review previous concepts . . . Fred shoots at a target. He hits the target 5 times but he misses the target 10 times. Write the ratio of HITS to misses. Convert the rational number to a decimal. Assign roles and have students repeat the activity above. Draw a target and place an X for a hit. Write a ratio for HITS on the bullseye to HITS not on the bullseye, then convert your ratio to a decimal.
