What is Stress? 2 Types of Stress Positive (Eustress): Stress that causes one to become more motivated and supports growth Negative (Distress): Stress that takes up all your energy and thought Examples Eustress: School work, starting a new job, planning important events, moving Distress: Divorce, death of a loved one, toxic relationships

Common Symptoms of Stress Headache/muscle tension Change in sleeping patterns (insomnia or hypersomnia) Change in appetite MOODY! Forgetful Sweat (palms, pits, etc.) Increase in blood pressure, heart rate, and/or breathing rate “Butterflies in stomach”/nausea Shaking Bladder overdrive Long term stress can lead to numerous health issues
