welcome to the Conversation “Hello, “ RAISING ASPIRATIONS INSPIRING ACHIEVEMENT INCREASING OPPORTUNITIES “Hello, welcome to the Conversation Intro / starter activity – 1. what is the conversation – what do we mean by gender equality when it is discussed in our own organisational contexts? This is what / where / how I would like us to approach this session – we are having a conversation; a dialogue that can inform org thinking to ensure we are all developing – and sustaining – rounded approaches to gender equality - GAP “

“Real men don’t talk, do they?” RAISING ASPIRATIONS INSPIRING ACHIEVEMENT INCREASING OPPORTUNITIES “Real men don’t talk, do they?” 2a. Discussion/activity - how far are we - and can we - develop rounded approaches to gender equality for students (and staff)? What do we need to understand – what barriers for example exist – that may need to be removed or at least seriously considered before we can truly promote/experience fairer gender balances in say STEM, Early Years and Health and Social Care? I make the link because for us, a link does exist and therefore we want to develop further an intersectional approach here and most notably develop further our gender-based violence work– in the form of our own College ES plan but also continued work with our local VAW partnerships. 2b. Working in partnership has been a real strength of ours and has enabled the College to be in place where it is contributing meaningfully to our local communities but, we hope also wider than this – EXAMPLES of partnership work including MAV; SAS; Inside Outside – impact – demonstrator of need

RAISING ASPIRATIONS INSPIRING ACHIEVEMENT INCREASING OPPORTUNITIES 3a. A right to be equally safe - any other College activities? EXAMPLES and impact b. Activity: Equally safe plan activity
