Ultrasonic flowmeter Ultrasonic flowmeters use sound waves to determine the velocity of a fluid flowing in a pipe. There are two kinds of ultrasonic flowmeter: Doppler Transit time

Doppler flowmeter  

Doppler flowmeter Advantages: Disadvantages: Usages: Obstruct less flow Can be installed outside the pipes The pressure drop is equal to the equivalent length of a straight pipe Corrosion resistant Relative low power consumption Disadvantages: the usage of this is limited to the fluids that have bubbles or particles; for example we cant use this for measuring the gas; we have to be care about sludges. Usages: for the fluids that have high temperature,water,oil,acid.
