Exam Logistics Exam 1 will be held on Wednesday, March 1, during class.

Ground Rules and Format You will have 50 minutes to work on the exam. No notes, books, calculators, cell phones, PDAs or other electronic devices (other than a watch) are allowed. All answers should be given in the spaces provided on the exam only. Problem format may be short answer, matching, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, proofs, etc. The point-value of each problem will be given. Please do NOT ask questions about problems during the exam. If you are unsure of what is being asked or what is meant, either skip the prob-lem or just use your best judgment

Make-Up Exam Policy Students are expected to make every effort to be present at the scheduled exam time. If missing the exam is unavoidable (e.g., due to sickness, accident, or other reasons beyond your control), please contact the instructor as far in advance as possible. Make-up exams may be administered orally. If it is not practical to administer a make-up exam before the end of the term, a course grade of "I" (incomplete) may be assigned.
