Founding SAP Student User Group (SUG) at Southern Illinois University Carbondale Jihoon Park 1 and Vincent Mitchell2 Advisor: Sam Chung, Ph.D2 1School of Accountancy, College of Business , Southern Illinois University Carbondale 2School of Information Systems & Applied Technologies, College of Applied Sciences and Arts 2 Problem Statement SUG Homepage(Fig 1)  ß SUG Facebook(Fig2) Steps for Starting and Developing SUG First Step: Start with a web page(Fig. 1) for advertising SAP SUG at SIUC. Second Step: Create SIU SUG Facebook community (Fig.2) in order to provide future events. Third Step: Use SAP Lumira(Fig.3) to help our members to understand SAP and possible to use this in their future career. The SAP has been a significant software for analyzing big data. Thus, there is a growing numbers of universities to teach the software for college students through the student user organizations. According to previous studies, the student user group for SAP helped students were being competitive applicants in job markets by not only teaching skills but also expanding their networks with the current SAP experts. However, with existing studies, it is unable to know effective guidelines to launch and maintain the organization. Conclusion The current study found potential benefits of SUG. Over 500 Fortune companies use SAP as their software to maximize their profit by collecting and analyzing data. At this step, this is unofficial organization lead by students. However, we have plan to make official organization. Thus, it is necessary to organize SUG. Purpose of the Study SAP Lumira(Fig 3) Student Success (Fig 4) The purpose of this research is to propose how to build a student user group to learn concepts, develop skills, and practice abilities of enterprise computing through SAP. However, we need to study and understand SAP advantages and disadvantage for students and organizing SUG.
