The Structure of the Earth!. Earth Structure The Earth is divided into three main layers. *Core *Mantle *Crust God planned the depths of the Earth Psalm.
Earth’s Interior Earth’s surface has been lifted up, pushed down, bent, and broken therefore it looks much different today than it did millions of years.
Earth’s Layered Structure (part 2). The Earth’s Interior We last discussed these points: How we know about the interior of the Earth… How Earth’s interior.

Science Planner 2/15/17 WALT: define the characteristics of the Earths interior. WU: 1. A 10 cm3 volume of boiling H2O has a mass of 9.1 grams. What is it’s density? 2. A 10 cm3 volume of ice has a mass of 8.9 grams. What is the density of the ice? CW: Vocabulary Graphic Organizer for Pages 49 - 55

Vocabulary: Crust – The brittle , rocky outer layer of the Earth. Mantle – Thick middle layer of the Earth. Lithosphere – Crust and upper part of mantle that is rigid. Asthenosphere – Lower level of the mantle that is partially melted. “Plasticized” Core – Dense metallic center of the Earth. Magnetosphere – The magnetic field that interacts with the Solar Wind protecting all life from cosmic rays.
