Best Practices State is providing Rs.1500 additional from State share for Honorarium to cook cum helper. LPG facility in all schools. Double Fortified Salt is used for cooking MDM in all the districts. Storage bins has been provided in all the schools. Beti ka Janamdin school me abhinandan. Kitchen gardens are maintained at school level. Free home base education, meals and medical facility to children with special needs through mobile van named KALAM EXPRESS in district Jind.

ISSUES In four schools at Kurukshetra Panchayat refused to accept MDM prepared by ISKCON Only 35% Institutes Inspected. Food grain supply chain management requires urgent attention as 13 districts had nil closing balance of food-grains on 31.12.2016. All the districts had less than 5% Opening balance of food grains as on 1.4.2016. Construction is yet to start for 1697 Kitchen-cum-stores. Mismatch between AWP&B data and MIS data.
