HIV Human Immunodeficiency Virus The virus that causes AIDS.
MI Myocardial infarction Heart attack
MS Multiple Sclerosis Disease of the central nervous system. Gradual destruction of myelin throughout the brain and/or spinal cord. causes muscular weakness, loss of coordination,speech and visual problems. usually occurs in young adults. may be genetic.
PID Pelvic Inflammatory Disease Infection of the upper female reproductive tract.
PMS Premenstrual Syndrome Group of symptoms related to the menstrual cycle. Includes both physical and emotional symptoms.
