Pelvic Reduction Frame Case 1

Pelvic Fracture 17 year old male High speed MVC Closed disruption of L side of pelvic ring with vertical displacement through L sacroiliac joint. Hemodynamically unstable on arrival.

Ongoing fluid resuscitation. Pelvic binder placed. Hemodynamic status improves.

Hemodynamic status remains labile. Patient taken for pelvic arteriogram - undergoes embolization. Post-angiography, patient is hemodynamically stable. Taken to operating room for pelvic external fixation.

Two Days Later Patient remains hemodynamically stable. Patient returns to operating room for definitive pelvic stabilization.
