History The grotto was opened to the public on the order of Napoleon iii the 5 th of October 1858 the people began to clean it up. Mary had appeared in the Lourdes in a dirty and obscure grotto in a place called Massa Biella the old rock tens use that god comes to join us where we are in the minds of our poverty and failures
