CLLD Essentials £6.63m grant programme (includes match) To transform economic prospects of people in 20% most disadvantaged areas of Hull based on 2010 IMD Funded through the European Union Combines ESF & ERDF structural funds Hull City Council is the accountable body HLC is the Programme Management Organisation Local Action Group (steering committee)

CLLD Essentials Funding available in 4 hub areas of Hull: Bransholme East Hull North Hull & Orchard Park West Hull & Central Funds 5 priority actions Programme runs from 2018-2022 Minimum 3 annual funding rounds – round 2 launches January 2019 Requires match funding from applicants: 40% (ESF) 45% (ERDF)

ESF Outputs Total Hull CLLD participants = 2,510 of which: unemployed / long-term unemployed = 1,750 (70%) economically inactive = 760 (30%) Disabilities = 572 (23%) Aged 50+ = 435 (17%) BAME = 295 (12%) Note: other thematic groups are also eligible, e.g. lone parents, ex-offenders, etc.

ESF Results Participants on leaving: Into education, or training = 830 (33%) Into a job (including self-employment) = 590 (23.5%) Inactive participants (n=760) into job search = 220 (29%) To increase digital skills and take up of on-line opportunities for 1,000 people

ERDF Outputs Number of enterprises receiving support = 100 No. new enterprises supported = 60 Employment increase in supported enterprises = 70 No. potential entrepreneurs supported = 250 Square metres commercial built / renovated in hubs = 250
