The institution provides access and training to students so that library and other learning support services may be used effectively and efficiently. The institution systematically assesses these services using student learning outcomes, faculty input, and other appropriate measures in order to improve the effectiveness of the services. The institution supports the quality of its instructional programs by providing library and other learning support services that are sufficient in quantity, currency, depth, and variety to facilitate educational offerings, regardless of location or means of delivery.

Who does this include? Library Services and Collections, Tutorial Center Learning Centers (Math and Writing Centers) Computer Laboratories

What do they want to know? Library Resources are of quantity, currency, depth, and variety to facilitate educational offerings, regardless of location or means of delivery. Library relies on appropriate expertise of faculty Provides ongoing instruction so that students are able to develop skills in information competency. Students and Faculty have adequate access to the library and other learning support services, regardless of their location or means of delivery Library and other learning support services are evaluated to assure their adequacy in meeting identified student needs.

What did we learn? We meet the standard. Satisfaction numbers for library and learning resources were high among students and staff. Concerned by the number of I dont know responses Most resources and services available to students regardless of location but not reference. Need to expand instructional opportunities for information competency.

Plans for Improvement Increase student and staff awareness of library and learning resources services. Provide an online reference option for students. Increase instructional opportunities for students to develop skills in information competency.
