INTRODUCTION THE COMPANY Actuator Repair Services commenced trading April 1992 and has earned a fine reputation as actuator specialists in design, manufacturing and servicing. We are also registered electrical contractors, control panel design and manufacturer. We are proud to say that we are a properly established S.M.M.E Company and that we are registered as such. THE COMPANY Actuator Repair Services is a company specializing in the refurbishing of all types of actuators including assistance with modifications and retrofitting. We continuously strive to improve our level of service to our customers by providing a quality product (fully guaranteed) within very good turn around times a competitive prices. We are a wholly owned private company with 45 employees.
CAPABILITIES DESIGN ENGINEERING Actuator Repair Services offers a complete engineering service and can supply (and maintain) any type of actuator, fully refurbished or modified to customer requirements, full guaranteed (certificate) for 1 year on mechanical parts only. We also have a 24 HOURS PER DAY; 7 (seven) DAYS A WEEK breakdown service. Maintenance can be carried out on site or at our works, for set periods and fixed costs. On site (in situ) inspections and servicing can also be carried out. We have fully equipped mobile workshops including test benches. DESIGN ENGINEERING Part of the service we offer is to assist customers with the optimization of their actuators. EXAMPLE! Adapter mounting plates and drive shafts; adapter extension systems, modification/upgrading of existing actuators to improve control and performance levels, are also done. EXAMPLE: Fitting of current position transmitter (c.p.t.); retrofitting of electronic controls; braking systems; fitment of stop-limit-creep devices, manufacture aluminum bronze drive nuts and gears for new and refurbished actuators. Any GENERAL ENGINEERING – EXAMPLE: CNC turning, CNC Milling, wire sparking, laser cutting, Hydraulic cylinder manufacture etc.
QUALITY CONTROL LEAD TIMES We adhere to ISO 9002 quality management systems. Detailed quality control/process plans are issued with each work order. Repair, manufacture or modifications are strictly controlled by means of proper documentation, which have been developed. Documents can also be tailor made to customer requirements. All repaired items are identified through serial numbers, which are fully traceable throughout the system. LEAD TIMES As previously stated, very good, but will also vary according to the type of refurbishment or manufacture involved.
