Driver Eligibility W.S. 31-7-402 Eligible if driver license is suspended for driving while under the influence of alcohol May not be suspended for any other reason or in any other state IID installed at licensee expense on all vehicles licensee will drive (there is an employers vehicle exception) Maintain proof of financial responsibility (SR22) Make application for license Pay $50 reinstatement fee Pay $100 ignition interlock fee Provide certificate of IID installation

Ignition Interlock Program Challenges Law Enforcement is unable to cite a driver for violating IIR if driver does not hold restricted license Driver may sit out required time First time DWUI, over .15% BAC, criminal charges are deferred, driver will not have ignition interlock requirement Lifetime IIR, driver moves out of state Law changes
Wyoming Ignition Interlock Laws July 1, 2006 W.S. 31-7-401 to 31-7-405 Voluntary (Offenses before July 1, 2009) July 1, 2009 W.S. 31-7-401-to 31-7-404 Mandatory (Offenses after July 1, 2009) Requirement started on conviction date July 1, 2011 W.S. 31-7-401 to 31-7-404 BAC used from officer’s paperwork Driver Services can set start date of IIR requirement (30 days from entry or start of suspension associated with requirement) July 1, 2012 W.S. 31-7-401(d) Administrative fee imposed-$100 for anyone issued IIR license
