Russian Revolution People of Russia overthrew the Czar of Russia Led to the Bolshevik Revolution Caused Russia to back out of WWI

Bolshevik Revolution Led by Vladimir Lenin Replaced the monarchy of Russia with a communist state Renamed state the Soviet Union

US and WWI Due to the events in Russia, the US replaced them in the Triple Entente For Wilson, joining the war effort was about fighting for democracy

WWI Propaganda To encourage people to support the war effort the US created the CPI CPI- Commission on Public Information Led by George Creel, the commission produced various forms of posters and articles convincing the American people the WWI was a just cause.

Selective Service Act Passed May 1917 soon after the Us enters WWI Americans who served in the army during WWI were referred to as “Doughboys”

Espionage Act Punished Americans for disloyal activities Anyone who interfered with the war effort could face up to 20 years of prison
