The results revealed that line MKULB 08-2-32, KU 50, and HB 80 gave highest yield per hectare (50.94, 45.63, 44.31 t/ha) while MKULB 08-2-65, MKULB 08-2-32, HB 60 gave highest yield per stem (6.67, 5.59 and 5.06 kg/stem) and HB 60, MKULB 08-2-13, KU 50, SR 1, MKULB 08-2-22, HB 80, MKULB 08-2-39, MKULB 08-2-62 and MKULB 08-2-32 gave root starch content highest (25.22, 25.07, 24.96, 24.62, 24.33, 23.49 and 23.07 % respectively) In 2011/12, Thailand had the harvest area of cassava about 1,178,790 hectare and had the total yield about 25,107,758 ton. In 2009, Thiland had the average yield of 22.68 ton/hectare, while the average yield in 1990 of 13.72 ton/hectare. The 20 years ago, the average yield increase about 8.96 ton/hectare. ( Office of National Economy, 2533,2554,2555). However, the Lop-Buri province had harvested area 21,858.44 hectare and had the average yield of 15.34 ton per hectare (http://www.oae.go.th., 2012) Howeler et al. (2000) reported that the average yield of Asia was 2.30 ton per rai (14.37 ton per hectare). The average yield per area will be increase, if the new cassava varieties can adaptation and giving the high yield. So “The Study Potential Cassava Variety Progress in Lop-Buri province, Thailand ” was to evaluate the high potential cassava Variety Progress grown on Lop-Buri province. อุปกรณ์ และวิธีการ RESULTS Table 1 Mean of yield and component yield of 20 cassava lines/varities grown in Lop-Buri station (23/2/10-25/2/11 and 25/3/11- 27/3/12) Varieties/Lines Yield/h (ton) Yield/pl (kg) % Starch No. root/pl H- HV (cm.)
