Ready for the week to begin.

I can’t believe we learned how to measure the quality of a river I can’t believe we learned how to measure the quality of a river. By the way the Sandy River’s a good, clean river.

I never knew learning could be so much fun I never knew learning could be so much fun. Did you know that the ph of the soil helps determine the plants that can live there?

After finishing their findings about the stream’s health there is still time to pose for a picture.

Learning to live in a small group setting is an important part of Outdoor School. The counselors are trained before heading to camp and provide sixth graders with some of their favorite memories of camp.

All work and no play makes for a long day All work and no play makes for a long day. Activities and recreational times are also included in the day.

I can still look good even after three days of being in the “wilderness”.

Still smiling even after all of the rain. I am an Oregonian.

Learning to work well with others is a vital skill for all of us.

Prior to becoming “salmon”, students work with counselors to understand a salmon’s life cycle. Reading, writing and science are all integrated into the learning.

Making new friends while keeping the old is part of Outdoor School.

I can’t believe we have to go home now I can’t believe we have to go home now. I learned so much about soil, water, animals and plants. Mr. Levy’s survival class was great fun too.
