Digitalisation efforts on education and trainng SERV - Flanders Visit Dresden - Halle 4 – 5 June 2018

Regional digitalisation agenda not yet developed, but building blocks available: 2015: Flanders Radical Digital Program 2015-2020 digital government services to citizens and companies, reducing the administrative burden, information sharing, … 2016: Vision 2050. A long term strategy for Flanders vision for an inclusive, open, resilient and internationally connected region that creates prosperity and well-being for its citizens in a smart, innovative and sustainable manner 1 of 7 transition priorities: lifelong learning and employment opportunities for every individual 2017: Foresight labour market 2050 (Centre of Expertise for Labour market Monitoring) impact of technology, redefining careers, evolution in education and training

Transition towards a digital society Answer to the lack of an integrated and coordinated policy agenda How to respond to the opportunities and challenges of digitalisation for the economy and the job market in Flanders? Education and lifelong learning: develop competences predictions strengthen key competences and develop new skills stimulate new learning methods like dual learning create learning paths throughout the career validate non-formal and informal learning promote partnerships reach out to vulnerable groups provide incentives to employers and employees (11/07/2018: SERV- agreement on the reform of training incentives ) invest in futureproof infrastructure
