Chromosomal microarrays for prototypic members of the three most common groups of adult diffuse glioma and IDH wild-type grade II astrocytoma. The upper tracings of each subfigure illustrate the log2 ratio of the allele copy number (red, yellow or green dots; the left scale) and the copy number normalized for all alleles (blue line; the right scale) . Among other alterations, the glioma has trisomy 7, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) amplification, homozygous loss of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor (CDKN)2A , monosomy 10, homozygous loss of PTEN and trisomy 19. b | Oligodendroglioma with a whole 1p/19q codeletion, IDH mutation and TERT promoter mutation. In addition to whole-arm codeletion of 1p and 19q, this glioma has monosomy 13. Codeleted gliomas often also have monosomy 4 (or loss of 4q), copy-neutral loss of heterozygosity (cnLOH) of 9p (or loss of 9p), gain of 11, loss of 15 and loss of 18. c | An astrocytic glioma with IDH, ATRX and TP53 mutations. In addition to other alterations, this glioma has a gain of 8q, loss of 11p, loss of 12q and cnLOH of 17p. Other common alterations in these gliomas are small deletions of 1p, loss of 4q, gain of 10p, and small deletions of 19q. These gliomas often have more copy number alterations overall than other glioma types.
