World Vision’s WASH Program

WHO WE ARE» World Vision works across the WASH value chain from national governments to households, dedicated to ensuring children have access to clean water, improved sanitation, hand-washing facilities, and WASH education.

THE NEED FOR INTERVENTION » Each day nearly 1,000 children under 5 die from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and unsafe hygiene practices. » Women and girls carry much of the burden for fetching water resulting in lower female education rates and poor maternal health

HOW WE WORK» We work with partners to ensure sustainability Drive widespread improvement using evidence Integrated community model to increase impact Take risks to find new solutions with innovation

VISION AND COMMITMENT» World Vision and our partners commit to aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals to provide universal access to clean water and sanitation. » Reaching everyone, in every community where we work, by 2030

WHY SESAME? » Global educational force Making WASH fun Large-scale impact Child-centered approach Empowering children
