Make sure all texts, particularly those that may have potential challenges, are listed in the syllabus that goes home to parents. Have a clear plan to address the sensitive material in the text. Planning for Success All of the sources in the text set were biased in the same direction. Provide a balance of viewpoints for students to gather evidence from. The information about the mother’s income only confuses students. Make sure all information is relevant.
