Commitment No. 6: I adapt my driving in challenging conditions #SafeDriver – Awareness Meetings – “I adapt my driving in challenging conditions” - 2017

How you should adapt your driving 1 in 12 severe accidents is caused by a failure to adjust to driving conditions (Group-wide) What to do to limit risks Challenging conditions: Bad weather (rain, snow, thunderstorm, etc.). Poor visibility (night, fog, glare, etc.). Poor road surface condition (potholes, bumpy or buckled roadway, etc.). Heavy traffic and/or nearby activity (outdoor market, road work, school, pedestrians). MORE Slow down and drive below the speed limit. Increase the safe distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you. Take more frequent breaks. Take a break at least once every two hours of continuous driving.
