“Gospel Driven Sex”

Why are we talking about sex? The lack of Biblical truth and instruction has caused a tremendous vacuum to occur. Perversions and worldly philosophies have rushed in to fill the void. Up to 80% receive their training about sex from someone other than the home. According to Pediatrics more than 40% of teens have had intercourse before they have talked to their parents about sex.

The current state of the church 1 out of 10 men are sexual addicts. 37% of pastors report that they struggle with internet porn. 1 out of 4 of our youth have had sexual intercourse by the time they are 17 years old. 2 to 3 full time church staff step down each week due to sexual immorality. Sexual issues are reported to be the #1 cause of marital conflict and divorce.

Sex in the light…review God intentionally created human sexuality and declared it to be good. The sexual relationship is designed and created to be Covenantal in it’s foundation and nature Consensual in it’s practice and expressions Why did God create the sexual relationship?

What is the solution? “Therefore do not be partakers with them; for you were formerly darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists of all goodness and righteousness and truth).” Light- a mental state of thinking and understanding; a moral state expressed through actions

Pleasure Sexual differences along with physiological and emotional responses are by God’s design. Song of Solomon Proverbs 5 “When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out with the army, nor be charged with any duty; He shall be free at home one year and shall give happiness to his wife whom he has taken” Deuteronomy 24:5
