Is Gospel Preaching recognizable today? 2 Timothy 4:1-4

Preaching has been changing drastically over the years in the churches of Christ. Paul warned Timothy of this change and why it would take place in the church. Why must these things happen in the church?

2 Timothy 4:1-4 Many Faithful Christians have questioned the gradual change only to be villainized and ostracized from the congregation. They have objected to the preaching of a different kind of Gospel - (Accentuate the Positive and get rid of the negative) Galatians 1:8-9

Jeremiah 5:31 “The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule by their own power; And My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?”

Isaiah 30:9 That this is a rebellious people, Lying children, Children who will not hear the law of the LORD;

Isaiah 30:10 Who say to the seers, “Do not see,” And to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things; Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits.

Acts 4:13, “When they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and discovered that they were uneducated and ordinary men, they were amazed and recognized these men had been with Jesus.”

Is any preacher above question Is any preacher above question? Shall we trust in their reputation from times past, or shall we question them in regard to their teachings from the scriptures? Shouldn’t we question their stand or lack of standing for the truth?

This does not make a local church a group establishing its own credo thereby establishing their own laws! “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?” Luke 6:46
