Listening to staff and learners…the outcome In Touch Care

Continuing the story... A short while ago several staff members completed a “dart board” survey and a follow on questionnaire…the former indicated use of RARPA and the latter the use of Initial Assessment and Diagnostics of the results. Thank you. It has been agreed that we change our Initial Assessment process back to BKSB, which has been improved since we last used this as a company. Please look at the following questions and indicate your views at the end on the suggestions we would like to initiate and add to the learner review to ensure an ongoing process that is recorded and auditable. We would like to add this to the 12wk review.

Here goes… Provide one example from the learner’s initial assessment of how you are supporting the learner to progress Provide one example of a targeted area from the follow on diagnostic and how support is being provided to ensure the learner can progress Please ask the learner to write how they feel about the support offered and to indicate if it is helping them to progress Do you feel the Initial Assessment and Diagnostic supported the identification of the areas requiring support, and has this been addressed correctly…if No what are you going to do to change this

Additional questions 5. Please provide one example of IAG that has been provided to the learner 6. Could anything be done to enhance the learning taking place and subsequent achievements Staff member response Learner response

Additional questions 7. Are the goals and objectives meeting the needs of your learner and are they challenging them enough from the Initial Assessment and Diagnostic information? Please provide an example 8. Does the learner feel their views, goals and choices are being met from the information derived from the Initial Assessment and Diagnostic? If you can think of any other questions you would like adding in linking to Initial Assessment/Diagnostic processes, or have suggestions for any to be removed please indicate in the area provided on the next page.

Over to you Please input your thoughts and suggestions below, and your name so we know who to thank!!
