UNENDING STRIKES Innocent students are affected by tear gas and beatings from the police and UPDF during the students and staff strikes that happen almost every semester. Running battles between students and the police

POOR SECURITY The university has a number of entry points but it's unfortunate that at all these point/gates, policemen don't check people who enter the university premises through the Eastern, Western and main gates.

UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL The hospital supposed to provide medication to students at the University is in a terrible state and lacks the necessary vaccines and appropriate medicines required by the students. Makerere University hospital

LECTURER ABSENTEEISM In some cases, lecturers don't come to class due to different reasons such as not being paid/given allowances especially to teach students on the evening program.

SEXUAL AWARDED MARKS Some students at the University have sex with lecturers in order to get high marks or make it to the graduation list. Thus is unfair to those who take time and read their books. Some lecturers use their positions in the university to demand for sex from students and failure of the student to comply, they may miss out on graduating as they are intentionally failed by the lecturer.
