Thistlepro magnetic An innovative new plaster that attracts magnets

What is it? Thistlepro magnetic ThistlePro Magnetic is a finish coat plaster It contains unique properties which means that magnets stick to it Applied in the same way as Thistle MultiFinish, but slightly thicker at a minimum of 3mm A bag contains enough for 5m2 at 3mm thick

Should I apply it thicker than 3mm? Thistlepro magnetic Should I apply it thicker than 3mm? We recommend it is applied at a thickness of between 3mm and 5mm. Above this thickness, the magnetic attraction does not improve significantly enough to offset the additional material required

Other things to know Thistlepro magnetic The plaster should not be worked to a polished finish – this will make the magnets slide down the wall as there is not enough friction It will not affect TVs, pace makers, wi-fi signals or any electrical equipment in the house as the plaster is not magnetic itself You cannot stick metal to it, it is not magnetic; think of it like a fridge door which attracts magnets There are no negative health impacts because it is the same as any other plaster The plaster is a grey colour because of the additives used

Will magnetic paint do the same job? Thistlepro magnetic Will magnetic paint do the same job? No, see below Our recommendation

How much weight can it hold? Thistlepro magnetic How much weight can it hold? The strength of the magnetic attraction depends on a number of variables, some of which are out of our control: The thickness of the plaster applied The quality of the magnet used The size (surface area) of the magnet used The texture of the wall surface If the wall is totally smooth, the weight a magnet can hold in place will be reduced. A heavy poster held in position on a rough wall may slide to the floor on a smooth wall due to the lack of friction between the poster and the wall Take a look at our YouTube channel – our technical department have managed to hang a TV on a magnetic wall!!
