Figure 3 Comparison of median follicular-fluid (a) brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and (b) nerve growth factor (NGF) concentration for women with different aetiologies of infertility. Participants included in each category were exclusive of other causes of infertility. There were no differences in the concentration of BDNF or NGF or other outcome measures for male factor infertility and women with bilateral tubal obstruction, and therefore these two groups were combined and used as the control group for all subsequent comparisons. Comparisons were made using one-way ANOVA on ranks. P<0.05 was considered significant. Bars with different letters are significantly different from each other. AMA=advanced maternal age; PCOS=polycystic ovary syndrome. Reproductive BioMedicine Online 2012 24, 174-179DOI: (10.1016/j.rbmo.2011.11.011) Copyright © 2011 Reproductive Healthcare Ltd.
