Grading in Science Formative: 30% Lesson Quizzes Vocabulary Quizzes Classwork Summative: 70% Unit Tests – We offer Grade Recovery when a student does not earn a 70% or higher.

Grading in Social Studies Formative 30%: Quizzes Classwork Summative 70%: Open-Book Tests *No Grade Recovery with Open-Book Tests

Eschool Plus Parents can access child’s grades online through Home Access Center (HAC) Interims and report cards will not be printed and sent home This is the best way to stay informed about your child‘s current grades Please contact Lauren Leddy with any issues http://www.stjohns.k12.fl.us/hac/

PES Grade Recovery Only tests are eligible for grade recovery. Student will only receive one opportunity for grade recovery per test. You will receive a retest letter that must be signed and returned in order for your child to take the retest. The original test grade will be recorded with a weight of 100%. After reteaching and retesting, the grade book is adjusted to reflected the learning gains. The original score will be documented in the grade book in the test “Test Recovery” column; which is weighted at 0%. The highest score possible for a retest is a 70%.
