Grant Funding Approach The approach entails: Assembling the baseline information needed to develop a project summary which can be used to “educate and market” the project to funding organizations. Gathering the data, maps, budget information, etc. required for the document library necessary to support a grant application. Preparing a “1 pager” on the project summarizing the Project Scope, Schedule, Budget and Funding plan. Highlighting the Project Benefits and the Stakeholders.
Grant Funding Approach – continued Building a Benefit Cost Analysis (BCA) and BCA narrative that will be used to identify the benefits of the project compared to its cost. Search for applicable Grant Sources- State and Federal. Prepare Matrix of Options. Writing a Grant Application once a Funding Notice is released that aligns with the project’s characteristics.
Grant Funding Approach - continued Developing an Outreach Plan and beginning those efforts needed to gather Project support for identified funding opportunities. Repeat the process until the Project is fully funded.
