Ncaa recruiting facts Individual schools award athletic scholarships – di & dii = $2.7 billion Di 176k student-athletes; 346 colleges & universities – 56% receive some athletic aid Dii 119K student – athletes; 307 college & universities; 61% receive some athletic aid Diii – 188k students – Athletes; 439 colleges & universities; 82% receive academic grants or need based scholarships (pell grants; Bright futures; Stafford loans;) About 2% of high school athletes are awarded some form of athletic scholarship Fewer than 2% of Ncaa student-athletes go on to be professional athletes

DIVISION I ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY COMPLETE 16 CORE COURSES 4 YEARS OF ENGLISH 3 YEARS OF MATH (ALGEBRA 1 OR Higher) 2 YEARS OF NATURAL\PHYSICAL SCIENCE (including 1 year of lab science if offered) 2 years of social science (world history, us history, government, economics, psychology, etc.) Complete 10 core courses, including 7 in English, math or science before start of senior year. no repeating\replacing any core courses once senior year begins Earn 2.3 GPA core courses (minimum) Earn SAT combined score or ACT sum score matching core-course DI Academic Requirements

Division ii academic eligibility Complete 16 core courses (before \ after august 1,2018) 3 years of English 2 years of math (algebra 1 or higher) 2 years of natural\physical science (including 1 year of lab science) 2 years of social science Earn 2.0 gpa core courses (before 8/1/2018); earn 2.2 gpa core courses (after 8/1/2018) Earn sat combined of 820 or an act sum score of 68 (before 8/1/2018); earn an SAT combined score or act sum score matching core course DII ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Division iii athletics Do not offer athletic scholarships – 75% of d3 athletes receive merit or need based financial aid No need to register with Ncaa eligibility center – set own admission standards

Follow the path Grade 9: Plan plan now; take the right courses get best grades possible Ask counselor for list of hs core courses or find slhs list of core courses at eligibilitycenter.org Grade 10: register Register w\ncaa eligibility center at eligibilitycenter.org Catch up if you fall behind – work with counselor to find approved courses Grade 11: study Check to make sure you’re on track to graduate Take act\sat get scores by using code 9999 Grade 12: graduate Take act\sat again (if necessary); get scores using code 9999 Request final amateurism certification after april 1 After graduation ask counselor to upload final transcript w\proof of graduation Follow Your Path
