SMALL CHURCHES WITH A BIG VISION January 2017

Last year, thirteen churches in Bangladesh joined together with a big vision to serve their communities.

‘Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.’ Proverbs 31:8

A year ago their leaders began the Inter-Church Network (ICN) A year ago their leaders began the Inter-Church Network (ICN). Each month, churches from different denominations create a space to support one another, pray together and discuss the struggles that members of their communities are facing.

At one meeting, they realised that some members of each community might be entitled to additional government support. So they invited the local government chairman to a meeting.

As a direct outcome of the meeting, the government chairman has assured the communities of his support. Once available he will be ensuring that the poorest and most vulnerable receive the allowances they are entitled to.

PRAYER Praise God for the team at ICN as they continue meeting together. Pray that ICN will be able to identify the needs of their neighbours and serve them well.

PRAYER Pray that good relationships will continue to be built within the team, within the local community and with the local government.
