Introduction to Tutoring

What is tutoring?

Tutoring is one-on-one teaching.

How do I get tutoring help?

1. Go to the English Café. S – wing 3rd Floor

2. Find the reservation sheet on the counter.

3. Sign your name and phone number.

*You may sign up for only 1 day a week. *You may sign up for any professor. *You may sign up for only 1 day a week. *You may sign up alone or in a group of 2 or 3. *If you are absent from tutoring more than 2 times, you cannot use tutoring anymore.

4. After tutoring, take a tutoring report sheet from this tea tin.

5. The tutoring report sheet looks like this.

Fill out every part of the tutoring report sheet.

Give it to me in class later.

I will add 5% to your lowest test for each tutoring report sheet. 5% !!!!

How long is each tutoring session? 25 minutes

What must I bring to my tutoring time?

1. Any class work that you don’t understand. 2. SPEECH scripts or ideas to write or practice! 3. Ideas for “FREE TALKING” – bring at least 3 questions. 5. NO GAMES!
